Objectives
Contents Historical evolution of the discipline with reference to the principle theoretical orientations, research methods and their implications. We will analyze the mechanisms of social perception, social influence, social aspects of
aggression, prejudice, conflicts, pro-social behaviors, interpersonal relationships, attitudes and their measure. Particular attention will be paid to the analysis of the dynamics of social groups, which they are considered central in the training in the social service and in providing basic elements about criminality and social deviance phenomena

Teaching Methods Frontal lessons. Possible use of slides and / or videos.
* The course may be suitably supplemented by seminar interventions
and deepening, with the participation of scholars and experts.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Learning will be verified through an oral exam. The knowledge of the bibliography and of the course contents, the correctness and quality of the oral expression, the linguistic skills and the critical and methodological skills will be evaluated. The score goes from 1 to 30 with honors, according to the following: 1-17 insufficient, 18 -21 sufficient, 22-24 discreet, 25-27 good, 28-29 very good, 30-30 with honors, excellent.
The examination procedures are the same for attending and non-attending students.
