To follow this teaching profitably, one must know the fundamental notions of the Science of Constolutions and the Statics of the Constructions

Objectives

The course aims to provide theoretical and applicative notions of the Construction Technique in the field of elastic theory. The pre-established objective will be pursued through lessons regarding the concepts underlying the discipline, lessons regarding the procedural, applicative and executive aspects, as well as specific lessons on the practical aspects of the discipline itself, within the various topics covered. In particular, it is planned to carry out practical lessons on programming in Microsoft Excel in order to create spreadsheets to support various project phases; lessons will also be held on the use of Sap2000 software for the automatic calculation of structural stresses through the numerical modeling of individual structural elements and structures deriving from the assembly of different structural elements. The final exam consists of an oral interview in which the topics of the course and the executive projects prepared during the course will be discussed. These executive projects, which each individual student will have to develop individually, consist of a reinforced concrete structure and a steel structure, to be verified at the operational limit state. The structural types to be developed will be communicated during the course.

Teaching Methods

The teaching activity includes a theoretical part (with lectures and exercises performed by the teacher in the classroom) and one of an applicative nature (with assignment of simple design themes that will be developed by the student with the supervision of the teacher, according to weekly review cycles). particular it is planned to carry out practical lessons on programming in Microsoft Excel in order to create spreadsheets to support different project phases; lessons will also be held on the use of Sap2000 software for the automatic calculation of structural stresses through the numerical modeling of individual structural elements and structures deriving from the assembly of different structural elements.

Verification of learning:
