We recommend the knowledge of the issues concerning the strategic and management problems of the company. in a summary of the strategic business activity through a study of alternative strategic paths and the analytical tools of the constitutive and evolutionary aspects of the industrial sectors.
A knowledge of the fundamental tools for the governance and management of companies producing goods and services. In particular:
- knowledge of the tools for analyzing the competitive business environment
- knowledge of how to design and implement business strategies
- knowledge of the development of functional business strategies
Objectives
Teaching Methods The course will take place within the first semester, and will consist of 72 hours of lectures, case studies and testimonies or seminars of monothematic study.
The lectures will mostly be supported by the use of material projected in the classroom by the teacher but will not be made available to students. On the other hand, the elearning platform of material and readings will be continuously updated to deepen and practice in view of the exam.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
During the course it will be the teacher's responsibility to systematically verify the learning level of the class, aimed at reformulating the speed, the teaching methods and possible moments of further reflection on some chapters that will be more difficult to understand than others.
As far as the exam is concerned, for the students attending the course there is an oral check at the end of the course to gain awareness of the level of preparation and how much the subject has been internalized during the months, while for the students not attending the computerized written test is scheduled.
In particular, the exam aims to:
- verify the knowledge of the tools of analysis of the competitive business environment and the knowledge of how to design and implement the organizational structure models. - know how to identify the possible solutions to the critical aspects of the organization's reference environment in terms of uncertainty and dependence on resources
- mastering the knowledge of interorganizational dynamics, theories and practices of organizational planning, knowing how to select the most effective structure models for each business environment;
- be able to analyze the external and internal determinants that influence the design choices of the organizations;
- recognize the structural mechanisms of connection, IT, and the main organizational control systems
- know how to use the tools that use the hard and soft variables, regulating their functioning to influence the determinants of the behavior of people within organizations, and the main tools that the company has to measure and increase its value.
Contacts/More Information Students attending and not attending will have the same final teaching load, the same modality of examination but the non attending students will not be able to participate in the activities that will be held in class starting from the middle course onwards, including the exam at the end of the course which will be oral.
