Objectives
Contents The Course analyses the basics concepts of Italian private law, focusing on their function and on the meaning that the rules assume in the light of the overall legal system and the constitutional values that characterize it. Particular emphasis is assigned - in accordance with the learning objectives - to the topics of obligations and contract as well as to the different profiles of liability.
Extended Syllabus The program focuses on the following topics: Legal system; Legal rule’s structure and interpretation; Sources of law; Rights, duties and other legal interests; Legal relations; Legal facts and acts; Natural Person and legal entities; The fundamental rights; Goods, property law and rights in rem; Possession; Wills and inheritance; Law of obligations; Contract Law in general (with regard to the typical contracts, the analysis will focus on the following: sale, lease, procurement contract, mandate, deposit, mortgage, surety agreement, factoring, leasing and transaction); Law of torts; Protection of rights.
Recommended Bibliography In order to prepare the exam, one of the following textbook is suggested:

Teaching Methods The teaching activity is based on "ex cathedra" lessons. In addition to the frontal teaching, seminars and workshops can be organized.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Consistent with the learning objectives and the expected learning outcomes as well as with the teaching methods adopted, the exam consists in a final oral exam (with a vote in thirtieths).Partial exam can also be programmed (however it is not mandatory and is reserved only for attending students).
