The aim of the course is to develop the concept of cultural geography through some supporting ideas such as place and landscape. The symbolic value of the territories is in fact entrusted to subjectivity; the course aims to provide some keys to interpret the essence of the places.
In the concluding part the course will focus, through some examples, on the role of cultural tourism in the process of development of places.
