The course aims to provide the necessary tools for micro-macro analysis of the tourism sector and activities related to its organization. It is aimed at understanding the dynamics of tourism development and the policies adopted at the national and international level. The course aims to highlight the factors underlying the success and decline of tourist destinations, evaluating the impact they have generated within the economic system.
In particular, the following themes are developed:
microeconomics of tourism: definitions and contents; the tourist as a consumer; the tourist-consumer theory; tourism production; holiday production and distribution companies: tour operators and travel agencies; service production companies; the receptivity, the transports, the attractions; tourist markets; contracts in the tourism market, Information and Communication Technology and tourism; macroeconomics of tourism: tourism in the economic system; tourism, regional economy and economic development; international tourism: real flows and monetary flows; the intervention of the State and the public organization of tourism.
