Contents THE HOUSE OF MAN/ DRAWING AS A DESIGN INSTRUMENT. The program of the Integrated Architectural Design Course takes place in two different time and application phases, the first of two months "Living Mediterranean" is dedicated to the design of a house in a Mediterranean context, which we will call "the house of man"; it will reflect on the theme of living as an archetypal and primordial act. The second part of the "Design of Autonomy" course is dedicated to the representation of the project through the design of architecture intended in its various analogical and digital forms, assuming that in the formation of a future designer, drawing is an essential work tool. both to design and to deepen technical and compositional issues. In a nutshell, the project developed in the first part of the course involves the design of an isolated single-family house strongly characterized by its relationship with the Mediterranean context. The design must resolve the relationship between the building and nature in architectural terms with particular regard to the sea as a poetic and evocative element and by developing the design of the building at the various representation scales. The design insights will always be accompanied by theoretical insights. The second part of the course is dedicated to the representation of the project, in particular we will focus on the "new design of Italian architecture" contextualizing the current national scenario in the context of a broader and more defined historical perspective without neglecting to provide in advance
Extended Syllabus MEDITERRANEAN LIVING
Soul of Places
the area of 1000 square meters is an opportunity to address the development of the design idea in relation to the natural topography of the place in order to establish an intimate relationship between the characteristics of the surrounding landscape and the type-morphological articulation of the building .
House of man: It falls within the project site and will be characterized by a level obtained by excavation within the ground and by an above-ground level. Any elevated structures will only be conceivable to make the terrace practicable (pergola, roof terrace, etc.)

Each discipline will also develop specific seminars or exercise activities aimed at preparing the student for the collegiate activities.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The exam is individual and consists of an oral part and the evaluation of group practices.
