Objectives Contents The programme includes the fundamental aspects of Geosciences, from general geology to the study of rocks, from geomorphology to applied geology. The main topics are the following: basic information on the geology as a science – the Earth system - topics relating to the physical and chemical composition of the earth, and the processes and forces that it is subject to (tectonics and stratigraphy, rocks, the geological landscapes). Emphasis is placed on the study of the climatic changes at the geological time scale, as analogues for the present climate and environmental evolution.
