There are no prerequisites. However, a basic knowledge of history and the history of art related to the periods covered in class meetings is expected.
Objectives
Contents This course aims to provide an analytical and interpretative methods for the study of the morphology of the landscape as well as the short, medium, and long-term transformations of the environment resulting from anthropogenic or natural causes. The landscape will be studied in relation to the political, economic, social and cultural framework, and through its representations over time, as well as a result of an action aimed at the creation of a common good and in function of a design process required for planning, governance and environment enhancement.
Extended Syllabus The class calendar of lectures for both instructors will be presented at the beginning of the course.

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods Class meetings will be held with PowerPoint presentations, interactive tools, and class discussions.
Office hours will be held after class, during normally scheduled times or by appointment in compliance with current guidelines for public health and safety.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The midterm will be a paper and/or a visual/graphic research project based on a specific topic that should be arranged and approved well in advance with the instructor.
The final will be an oral exam based on the texts and/or visual/graphic research projects, on the course lectures and presentations, as well as the required readings.
Particular attention will be paid to the quality of the research projects produced during the course.
Group projects are possible (max 3 students). Groups with more than 3 students should be arranged and approved well in advance with the instructor.
Topics that are not included within the scope of the course should be arranged and approved in advance with the instructor.
