Objectives
Contents The course will deal with the theoretical foundations of occupational therapy, models in occupational therapy, the process of Occupational Therapy. It will present clinical cases following the basic theoretical framework and will initiate a reflection on future prospects. The aforementioned topics are aimed at achieving the expected learning outcomes.
Extended Syllabus •Theoretical basis of occupational therapy for practice: doing in life; the activity (analysis/values); employment; occupational performance; autonomy/independence; the therapeutic and professional relationship; the team/patient/family.
•Models in Occupational Therapy: Model of Human Occupation (MOHO); Vivaio model (MOVI); Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO); Canadian Model of Occupational Performance (CMOP); Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM).
•Occupational Therapy Process: introduction to observation/interview; introduction to evaluation (evaluation of body functions and structures, evaluation of employment areas, evaluation of performance contexts); introduction to the rehabilitation program; introduction to the rehabilitation project.
•Presentation of clinical cases following the basic theoretical framework: experimentation of the theory in the professional context.
•Future prospects: dreams, decisions and directions for occupational therapy in the millennium of occupation.

Teaching Methods The teaching is divided into 20 hours of frontal teaching, which include a strong interactive component between teacher and students.

The oral exam is aimed at ascertaining the learning outcomes. The vote is expressed out of thirty.
