Contents City, relationship and conversion: philosophicals contributions from a lateantiquity debate
Extended Syllabus The crisis, not only moral, of the ancient “civitas” was apparent after the fall of the centuries-old Roman
empire caused by the barbarian “manu militari”. The conversion to Christianity was the impetus for the
rebuilding of the human relation, albeit within contradictions that animate an enduring debate even
today, the time of “liquid society.” Attempting to identify the sources, meanings, and reasons (of this
phenomenon) is the philosophical endeavor of the course.
