Objectives Contents The lithic industry in the framework of Italian prehistory from the Lower Palaeolithic to the Copper Age. Economy of raw materials and operational chain for the production of lithic artifacts. Techno-typological analysis, cataloging and documentation of lithic industry.
Extended Syllabus History of Prehistoric Studies; The study of lithic industry from the end of the 19th century to today; The operational chain and the economy of raw materials; The technological and typological analysis of stone artefacts; Filing and drawing lithic artefacts; the Lower, Middle and Upper Paleolithic; The Mesolithic; the Neolithic in the Levant and in Cyprus; the Neolithization; the Neolithic in Italy; the Eneolithic in Italy.

Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Oral exam aimed at ascertaining the suitability of the 3 CFU, with questions on what has been learned during the workshop and evaluation of the practical work done (catologing and drawing of stone artefacts).
