The laboratory intends to provide in-depth knowledge of the professions around the great world of cultural heritage, also making use of the testimony of experts operating in the sector. Not only are the professions regulated by art. 9bis of the Cultural Heritage Code (Legislative Decree No. 42/2004) but also the so-called emerging professions, whose mapping represents a topic of priority interest for the Ministry of Culture.
Knowing the cultural heritage professions is an essential prerequisite for understanding their training and professional paths by framing them in the standards of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and for analyzing the relationship between the needs expressed by the labor market and the opportunities both at national level (cf. for example, access to the national lists of cultural heritage professionals held by the Ministry of Culture (MiC); methods of access to public selections for admission to public administrations and private institutions;) and international level (with in-depth study of the multiple programs European Unions in support of cultural heritage such as e.g. Creative Europe, Erasmus+, ERDF, Horizon Europe etc.).
