The Course focuses on the different profiles of civil liability, having particular regard to the following topics: notions of liability and damage; liability for breach of contract and for tort; conditions governing the non-contractual liability; unlawful damage; justifications; imputation principles; strict liability and particular cases of liability in the Italian Civil Code; recent jurisprudential developments regarding non-pecuniary damages.
Furthermore, medical malpractice liability; liability for defective medical products; liability for product-related harm; liability for infringements of the competition law; liability of public administrations; environmental damages will be subject to in-depth analysis.
