Objectives Contents Neurodevelopmental disorders comprise a group of conditions with onset in the developmental period and characterized by deficits that cause a compression of personal, social, school or work functioning. The range of deficits varies from very specific learning limitations to the overall impairment of social skills and intelligence.
The course aims to tackle the most complex neurodevelopmental disorders such as Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders and Attention Deficit Disorder with hyperactivity, from the point of view of the clinical-diagnostic framework, of the habilitation intervention and of the school inclusion.
Extended Syllabus Psychopathological Foundations of Autism Spectrum Disorders: General Aspects. Genetic and environmental risk factors. Mechanisms of the disorder and main pathogenetic theories. Clinical features. Differential diagnosis. Rating. Prevalence. Development and course. Comorbidity (diseases and associated disorders). Pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Discussion of clinical cases.

Methods of Provision Teaching Methods The teaching is structured in 48 hours of frontal teaching, divided into lessons of 2 and 3 hours, twice a week, according to the academic calendar. The frontal teaching is made up of theoretical lessons. During the course, practical exercises are provided to consolidate the theoretical knowledge acquired.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The exam includes an oral test that will take place on the date established by the teaching secretariat and which consists in verifying knowledge through an interview with the teachers
