Objectives
Contents The research and diagnostic methods used in the development will be analyzed and the problems that may be encountered in the design and implementation of studies aimed at analyzing change will be discussed. The direct and indirect observation techniques will also be illustrated and some evaluation tools will be presented, discussing their limits and usefulness.
A series of methods and tools for psychological assessment in different areas of child development (cognitive, linguistic, socio-emotional development) will be presented, in particular those available for the Italian population.
The assessment paths in specific clinical populations will be studied in depth, as in the case of DSA, ADHD and ASD.
