The course contributes to the realization of the educational objectives MA in Economics and Behavioral Sciences by providing (a) the tools for understanding group dynamics both at the theoretical level and at the level applied to organizations; (b) solid knowledge and skills on behavioral sciences applied to the Organization and Human Resources. In particular, the course aims to familiarize students with the principles of organizational behavior, in the light of a well-known theoretical paradigm in social psychology, that is, Social Identity Approach.
EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS.
Knowledge and understanding.
At the end of the course the student must have acquired knowledge and understanding skills with respect to:
- the typical and atypical aspects of intra-group dynamics, with particular reference to the organizational context;
- the main psychosocial processes that govern interdependence within groups;
- the typical and critical aspects of organizational behavior;
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding.
At the end of the course the student must have acquired the ability to integrate knowledge and manage complexity in the study of group and organizational processes, as well as to be able to formulate hypotheses on the typical and atypical functioning of groups in general and on organizational behavior more specifically.
Judgment autonomy.
At the end of the course, the student must have acquired the ability to evaluate group dynamics in social and organizational contexts;
Communication skills.
At the end of the course the student will have to know how to use the technical language of social and organizational psychology. Furthermore, students must have acquired the ability to communicate their knowledge and ideas about the functioning of groups and organizations in a clear way to specialist and non-specialist interlocutors.
Ability to learn.
At the end of the course, students must have acquired the ability to investigate topics of interest in a self-directed or autonomous way
