Extended Syllabus The course is divided into 3 parts. A first part represents a form of introduction to ethics. A second is dedicated to the history of economic and social ethics; in particular to the specific ethical dimension of the economic and social sphere. Finally, a third part is dedicated to the tyranny of merit and the economic and social distortion of meritocracy.

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods The prevailing method will be that of the frontal lesson, with the use of slides.
It will be flanked, according to didactic needs, by the shared reading of texts and group work, seminars.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The assessment of the training objectives and expected learning outcomes is entrusted to an oral interview of variable duration. During the interview, the actual acquisition of the knowledge, skills and competences indicated will be assessed. The evaluation parameters include the ability to organize
knowledge in a discursive way, the ability to critically reason on the study carried out, the quality of presentation, competence, effectiveness and linearity in the use of the specialist vocabulary.
The assessment is divided into questions regarding ethics and social history in its various meanings with particular regard to the theme of social justice and the common good.
The evaluation is expressed out of thirty. The minimum grade with which the exam is considered passed is eighteen (18).

Contacts/More Information Attendance of the course is desirable, but not mandatory.
Those who fail to attend at least two thirds (2/3) of the total number of lessons will integrate the exam program with an additional text, which will be indicated during the lessons, and which will allow them to deal more effectively with individual study. .
During the examination it is advisable to present oneself with the texts adopted, in order to be able to analyze and comment on them.
