The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge about the socio-cultural and institutional reality of Spain and some of the Spanish-speaking countries, through the direct attendance of some studies on the subject. Notions of history, politics, economics and sociology will be provided, in order to induce the student to reflect on some peculiar aspects of contemporary Iberian reality and motivate him/her to study a culture distinct from his/her own.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
-demonstrate knowledge and understanding skills that extend and/or reinforce those typically associated with the first cycle.
-apply the historical-cultural notions learned to critically analyze the proposed themes.
-expose clearly their opinion on the topics dealt with.
