Extended Syllabus The French language course consists of 18 hours of lessons, with the related application exercises aimed at achieving the educational objective, on the following topics:
Phonetics and spelling:

Plural and feminine formation
The determinants
The comparative and the superlative

Methods of Provision
Teaching Methods In addition to listening, phonics, grammatical reflection and textual comprehension common to all the students, there are hours, for beginners, of hours dedicated to the acquisition and consolidation of fundamental communication and exercise functions. The audiovisual and written documents will be the object of a reflection on the nature of the text in its various aspects - lexical, syntactic and phraseological - and in its translation problems. Particularly in the analysis of articles or essays particular attention will be devoted to the argumentative component and the dynamics of textual cohesion.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
Students will take a written and an oral test during the exam sessions.
The written test will consist in the translation of some sentences from Italian into French to verify the basic orthographic and morphological knowledge. The oral exam will instead focus on the reading and translation of a text of a general sociological subject.The evaluation is expressed in terms of suitability or non-eligibility.¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ For the purpose of suitability the correction of the pronunciation and the knowledge of the elementary morphological notions, such as, for example, the conjugation of regular verb and the formation of the feminine and the plural.
