Objectives

EDUCATIONAL TARGETS
The course aims to provide students with the tools to understand concepts, methodologies, techniques and operating procedures for economics and financial analysis of investments.

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
At the end of the course students will be able to assess the feasibility of
innovation and development projects. They will also acquire the appropriate knowledge to plan the most suitable forms and investment opportunities and the sources of financial coverage.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
At the end of the course students will acquire skills for the implementation and control of investment projects and capacity for project risk management. They also will be able to select the most
suitable sources of funding.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
At the end of the course students will be able to explain and apply the process for economics and financial assessment of investments through
appropriate technical terminology and links between different topics.

Contents

The program is divided into the following main topics:
- introduction to economics and financial assessment of investments;
- legislative provisions for entrepreneurship;
- balance sheet reclassification; financial indicators; competitive analysis;
- market analysis;
- business planning of investments and financing

- Project cycle management from planning to control.
- Main tools to support entrepreneurship.
- Business situation, competitive environment and cost analysis.
- Market analysis.
- S.W.O.T. analysis and competitive advantage.
- Economics and financial evaluation of investments through the business plan.

Methods of Provision

Conventional

Teaching Methods

The course is structured in 48 hours of teaching.
The teacher will carry out theoretical lectures on the entire program.
The lessons will be enriched by the analysis of practical cases and by carrying out exercises.
Slides are used in the classroom for the purpose of a more effective illustration of the contents.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

Final examination: oral.

The verification of learning is based on an oral test divided into at least three questions aimed at assessing students' knowledge of the entire study program and the acquisition of application skills.

Rating in thirtieths.
