Objectives

Educational goals
The Course contributes to the broader achievement of the training objectives of the CdS in Design due to the analytical deepening and the empirical study of the business dynamics.
With reference to knowledge, skills, autonomy of judgment gained within the teaching, the specific results expected are placed in coherence with the general learning outcomes of the CdS. Specifically, the student will acquire the ability to analyze, understand and interpret the information concerning:
- the competitive business environment;
- the dynamics of governance and business management;
- business strategies;
- business communication and marketing strategies;
- the relationship between Industry and Distribution;
as well as the use and application of knowledge, tools and methodologies for the purpose of solving specific business problems.

Contents

The course deals with the topics related to the management processes of the company, also in light of the changes imposed by the digital world. Students will be involved in a Project Work activity also, which will allow them to practice with the theoretical concepts learned during the lectures.

Teaching Methods

The Course is structured in 48 hours, during which the frontal teaching and the group work (max 3 participants) are alternated with learning checks where students can apply the theoretical principles. In agreement with the students, interventions and testimonies of managers and entrepreneurs are planned, on specific topics of business management.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

In line with the expected learning outcomes and the teaching methods adopted, the final evaluation for the students takes place with a written exam consisting of open-ended questions with a predefined response space and mutually exclusive questions. The total points will be subdivided on the basis of the questions presented in the test for importance and extension, announced during the examination. The final score will be given by the sum of the partial scores.

The topics listed in this Syllabus are examined and discussed in-depth.
The final evaluation is expressed in thirtieths.

The written test also aims to verify the ability to synthesis and description, as well as critical analysis of students. Therefore, for the purpose of passing the exam, it is essential to use an appropriate managerial terminology, a clear exposition and a logical link between the concepts presented.

Attendance is optional, but recommended. The final exam will be the same for attending and non-attending students.
