Prerequisites:

You cannot take the Interior Design laboratory exam A if you have not taken the Interior Design 2 exam. It is also recommended to have taken the Product Design 2 and Communication Design 2 exams, whose training contents could be recalled in the teachings of the Laboratory.

Objectives

Interior design Laboratory B plans to complete the student's training with notions and tools useful for addressing the complex issue of contemporary living, and innovation applied to the different contexts to which it refers. The training, oriented towards the development of the set-up system, understood as the integrated and coherent set of functions and services, will therefore be completed and enriched by the integrated skills related to the teaching modules of Contemporary interiors, Materials and technologies of production and Semiotics for the design.

Contents

The Degree Laboratory in Interior Design is delivered in an integrated form with the modules of Contemporary interiors, Materials and production technologies, Semiotics for design. The individual project developed in the Laboratory constitutes the reference theme for the preparation and in-depth study of the degree thesis in Design.

Teaching Methods

The Laboratory takes place through the delivery of the three integrated teaching modules in the same semester, to facilitate any comparisons and additions between the different disciplinary contents, the transmission methods of which are however indicated in the individual modules.

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

The verification of the ability to apply the knowledge acquired in the various and integrated training activities takes place through a single examination of Laboratory B of Interior Design with the Commission composed of the teachers in charge of the three teaching modules. The exam, with a mark out of thirty, takes into account the final judgments obtained by the student in the activities carried out in each of the teaching modules and is based on the critical discussion of the innovative product solutions and on the finalization of the knowledge acquired in the various teaching modules.

The workshop takes place in the second semester. For information regarding the classroom and timetables, please refer to the calendar of the CdS in Design. Attendance is optional, but strongly recommended. The final exam is the same for attending and non-attending students. The calendar of lessons, educational activities are provided at the beginning of the laboratory. For student reception hours, reference is made to the time indicated by the teachers of each individual module.
