This course does not have prerequisites. The syllabus ensures the full acquisition of the described learning objectives even for the students who do not have previous skills in English.
The course aims to provide the basic knowledge to write, read, listen and translate English texts -both written and oral- and to have a formal conversation or project exposition. This will allow students to develop technical skills in the design field in an international and multi-ethnic context . The expected linguistic skills acquisition reach the level B1 / B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (Council of Europe).
The course consists of different macro-sections, each one develops all language skills, such as reading, listening, writing and speaking. The program starts from the basic phonetic and grammatical structures of English, to various technical topics, in order to allow the student to acquire expertise in the design field, software use, art movements and technical skills, in line with other courses.
The course consists of different macro-modules, each one aimed at developing a specific linguistic skill (writing, speaking, listening, reading comprehension, translation from English). Each module proposes, in addition to the grammar section,also different topics, so that students can build their own specialized vocabulary. The topics are related to the international world of art and design, with a particular focus on the sustainability and environmental issues.
