This course does not have prerequisites. The programme ensures the full adquisition of the described learning objectives even for the students who do not have previous skills in english.
Objectives
Contents The course consists of different macro-sections, each one develops a language skills, such as reading, listening, writing and speaking.
The program starts from the basic phonetic and grammatical structures of English, to various technical topics, in order to allow the student to acquire expertise in the design field, software use, art movements and technical skills, in line with other courses.
Extended Syllabus The course consists of macro-modules, each aimed at developing a specific linguistic skill (speaking, listening, writing, reading comprehension, translation). Each module proposes, in addition to the grammar, several topics, so that students can build their own specialised vocabulary in English. The topics are related tothe world of art and architecture in the international scenario, brief references to the history of architecture (great architects and relevant architectural works), with particular attention to the issue of environmental sustainability.
