EDUCATIONAL AIMS: Through the study of the Endocrinology, the student must learn:
1) principles of endocrine physiology with special emphasis to the notion of hormone-receptor and feed-back;
2) clinical aspects of endocrine and metabolic diseases with special attention to those commonly encountered during his professional career;
VALIDATION OF LEARNING ABILITY: At the end of the course the student is supposed to be able to:
1) describe main clinical features of most common endocrine and metabolic diseases;
2) propose an in-depth description of those features of endocrine and metabolic diseases which will be more easily encountered during his/her future activity (knowledge and comprehension ability);
3) set up a specific intervention program (either diagnostic or therapeutic) for the proposed disease (applied knowledge and comprehension ability)
