DIDACTICS OF ITALIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
The course aims at providing a thorough knowledge in teaching and learning Italian as a Second Language. The topics of the current migratory situation, of the national legislative framework, of linguistic and educational policies and of intercultural contact are discussed.
The use of corpora for the teaching of Italian as a second language will be addressed.
Approaches and methods of Italian as a second and foreign language.
Italian as a Second Language. Perspectives, research fields, problems and peculiarities of Italian as a Second Language.
Bilingualism and multilingualism. Linguistic skills in the dimension of second languages. Use of authentic mass-media materials for the teaching of Italian as a Second Language in schools of all levels. Intercultural language teaching and mediation for Italian as a Second Language.

Lectures and seminars.
The verification of the learning consists of an oral test at the end of the course, assessed in thirtieths. The verification aims to ascertain the acquisition of the contents described in the study program and is aimed at ascertaining the degree of preparation of the students, their capacity for critical analysis of the topics covered, as well as; the level of discursive organization of the exposition.
There are no program differences between attending and non-attending students.
