In order to fully understand the topics covered, a good ability to understand and express oneself in Italian is required.
Objectives
Contents The course is divided into two modules that will examine the forms and meanings in Alberto Arbasino (4 cfu) and the "Great War": retrospective of a massacre (2 cfu). The topics covered will be the following:
- the writing of the "I";
- the quotation and the model of T.S. Eliot;
- the alimentary metaphors;
- the traumas of war;
- the "great holiday";
- the human massacre;
- the illness of the prisoner.

Teaching Methods The course is six-monthly and consists of two modules: the first of 24 hours, the second of 12 hours, for a total of 36 hours of lectures, delivered by means of lessons lasting two hours, based on the calendar of the department. In addition to the lectures of the titular teacher, there will also be possible seminars for in-depth study.
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The verification of the learning will take place through an oral test, with an evaluation expressed in thirtieths, which will examine the expected learning outcomes.
