In the workshop of Leopardi’s Canti (=6 ECTS)
Programme
The question of macro- and micro-textual drawing up of Leopardi’s poetry collections will be tackled (from the Canzoni to the Versi, down to the final form of the Canti). Having delineated this reference framework, students will be called upon to tackle – in work groups of 3 or 4 – an examination of the tradition and variants of one single Canto, assessing editors’ and critics’ interpretations through the study of autographs and printed editions.
