Programme
An outline of Giannozzo Manetti’s biographical details and a highlighting of the formal, content-related and linguistic features of the Life of Dante he wrote in Latin in 1440, united with those of Petrarch and Boccaccio under the title Trium illustrium poetarum florentinorum vita. In the initial part of the course, some notion will be given of the main features of mediaeval Latin.
