Objectives
Contents This course aims to illustrate the characteristics of the clinical interview and clinical treatment, addressed to children and adolescents, referring to the psychoanalytic theoretical framework. In particular the frequency of sessions and the different modalities of therapeutic intervention will be analysed and connected to clinical pathologies. During the lessons some clinical cases concerning children and adolescents will be presented and discussed.
Extended Syllabus General part
Teorical and clinical classical models: H. Hug Hellmuth, A. Freud, M. Klein, D.Winnicott. Contemporary models: A.Alvarez, A. Ferro, D. Vallino et al.. Specific aspects: once-a week and "intense" psychotherapy, brief and group therapy , trauma, abuse, gender identity, , the refugees, autism.
Specific part
In the second part of the course the clinical work with children in the case of disruptive behavior, ADHD syndrome, eating disorders, mourning and depression will be illustrated.
Other topics will be: the silence in analysis, psychic change and the termination of the tratment.

Teaching Methods Frontal lessons and guided discussions of clinical cases
Evaluation methods Verification of learning:
The first two examinations after the conclusion of the course will be written (multiple choice questions, sometimes integrated with a few true/false and "open" questions).
The subsequent examinations will be oral.
The examen will be evaluated on a score range from 18 to 30.
