Objectives

The course aims to illustrate a multidisciplinary approach in the field of applied clinical psychology health promotion. Approach that arises from the observation of the progressive differentiation that there was between the medical discipline and the discipline of clinical psychology. This form therefore intends highlight the importance of collaboration between the two professional figures (doctor and psychologist).

Contents

- Clinical psychology in medicine: psychosomatic and biopsychosocial models
- Psychological factors of predisposition to the disease: early relational traumas, somatic amplification,anxiety about health, disease representations, attachment patterns, alexithymia.
- Presentation of psychological-clinical intervention projects in the field of diabetes

- (PNEI). The role of adaptation processes and the psychological dimension in stress.
- Models of stress interpretation and relationship between stress and health. - cognitive and psychopathological complications in HIV and HCV infection, pediatric psychoinfectivology (Lyme disease, PANDAS).
-Presentation of clinical psychological intervention projects in the health sector.

Methods of Provision

Conventional

Teaching Methods

The course is scheduled in 58 hours of in-class teaching in sessions of 2 or 3 hours based on the academic schedule. In-class sessions will be constituted by discussing theoretical aspects and clinical cases (diagnosis and treatment planning) . The attendance is mandatory and 25% of attendance will be required

Evaluation methods

Verification of learning:

The exam will be constituted by an oral examination aimed to assess the knowledge, the conceptual mastery, the linguistic skills, the ability of interpretation and analysis of psychosomatic topics. The examen will be evaluated on a score range from 18 to 30. A score 18-23 indicates a sufficient knowledge, 23-28 a good level of knowledge, 28-30 an excellent knowledge, "cum laude" particular abilities of analysis and critical reasoning.
