Contents This course aims to bring students closer to a number of fundamentals of
the Spanish language (phonetics/phonology, orthography, lexical
morphology) as well as their practical usage in a number of possible
scenarios.
Essential communication skills:
• asking for/giving out information;
• discussing routine, past/future events, ability, possession, like/dislike;
• ordering, inviting, locating, giving advice
comparing, describing events/places;
• talking about experiences;
• approving and disapproving.

Il corso del docente prevede lezioni di tipo frontale, in cui saranno
affrontati contenuti di tipo teorico, e seminariale, in cui è prevista la
partecipazione attiva degli studenti.
Le esercitazioni del lettorato, fondamentali per il raggiungimento delle
competenze linguistiche necessarie per il superamento dell’esame finale,
prevedono una costante interazione con gli studenti.
Per queste ragioni è vivamente consigliata la frequenza sia del corso, sia
delle esercitazioni.
Prima dell'esame finale con il docente, lo studente è caldamente invitato
a svolgere l'esame di lettorato. Nel caso in cui non lo sostenga o non lo
superi, è previsto un programma integrativo.
Tale programma integrativo prevede la lettura di un altro romanzo tra
quelli proposti (per un totale di 3 libri di lettura) ed il manuale Díaz L. –
Yagüe A., Papeles. Gramática del español como lengua extranjera, Nivel
A, reperibile online al seguente link:

La verifica finale con il docente è composta da una parte scritta e da una
parte orale.
La parte scritta è somministrata esclusivamente ONLINE ed è volta alla
verifica dei contenuti grammaticali.
La parte orale consiste in un dialogo per verificare le competenze di
produzione e di interazione
orale. Il dialogo verterà sulle letture previste dal corso e verificherà
l’acquisizione delle competenze orali previste dal manuale.
Per l'esame orale, è' richiesta la lettura di due romanzi a scelta tra:

- have acquired the reading and aural comprehension skills, as well as
the writing and speaking skills covered by the coursebook.
Before the exam, students are warmly invited to take the CLA exam. In
case of negative result, the programma should be integrated with:
- Díaz L. – Yagüe A., Papeles. Gramática del español como lengua
extranjera, Nivel A, reperibile online al seguente link:

- an other novel (for a total of 3 novels).
Assessment for this module consists of a written and an oral exam.
The written exam consists of a test based on the grammatical contents.
The oral exam consists of a conversation aimed at testing speaking and
oral interaction skills. The
conversation will focus on the readings chosen by the student among
those recommended by the instructor during the course. It will also aim
to test the oral skills covered in the coursebook.
Evaluation of the class is expressed with a mark out of 30, resulting from
the arithmetic mean of the marks obtained in each of the parts of the exam.

Teaching Methods 72-hour classroom course, 2-hour classes in accordance with the
academic calendar.
Classes are followed by practical exercises.
Topics are analyzed through contrastive approach.
Both expository and participatory methods are employed during the
class. The topics are divided into segments and are eventually followed
by practice.
Classes are as engaging as possible thanks to activities and Q&A.
Throughout the course, students are assessed through regular testing
with the aim to verify their comprehension of the subject.
