The course intends to analyze some verbal remedies of the Germanic cultural heritage of the Middle Ages. The short texts will be linguistically analyzed and the philological, textual and cultural problems will be discussed. The aim is to highlight the relationships among magic, medicine, folklore and Christianity during the Germanic Middle Ages.
