The teaching contributes to the achievement of the educational objectives of the course of study in Psychology. The course provides the tools for understanding psychological distress in the developmental age and its interpretation within the family environment.
Students are accompanied, through lessons, towards a complex and multifactorial understanding of the evolutionary processes that occur during the various stages of development in dysfunctional and risky family conditions.
Particular attention will be paid to the development of emotional regulation, of heterocontrol strategies and of self-control strategies in atypical conditions. The male and female students of the course will acquire advanced knowledge and an in-depth understanding of the importance of the relationship between theoretical references and methodological aspects.
In particular, we’ll study the clinical knowledge of the main methods for detecting indicators of atypical development in the period of life considered and the tools for detecting them.

In particular, they will deepen their knowledge, in th clinc sense, of the main methods for detecting indicators of atypical development in the period of life considered and the tools for detecting them.
Students will also develop skills regarding the application of theoretical knowledge in the fields a) of evaluation for diagnostic purposes and b) of intervention, for the planning, implementation and evaluation of psychoeducational, habilitation and rehabilitation projects in the various fields and contexts.
The ability to apply knowledge will be taught during the lessons, proposing the analysis of clinical cases, exercises and practical activities, such as, for example, the administration of an evaluation test, scoring, and the clinical report.
