The Degree Course in Linguistic Mediation and Intercultural Communication L-12 presents itself as a highly specialized course in the linguistic field. In addition to technical linguistic training, which includes translation and mediation as cardinal points, the student receives a qualified linguistic, glottodidactic and micro-linguistic training, together with knowledge in the field of multiethnic and multicultural contexts, including institutional environments. The aim of the course is to create a professional figure of a linguistic expert capable of performing an interlingual and intercultural mediation function. The course provides for the acquisition of knowledge and skills that can be usefully deployed in many areas where linguistic-cultural mediation activities play a fundamental role, such as public and private entities, businesses and educational and training institutions, both at the national and international level.The Department of Affiliation organizes, in collaboration with public and private bodies, internships aimed at familiarizing students with the various professional areas of the course.In the architecture of the course, the linguistic teachings, for which most of the credits are reserved, are accompanied by disciplines of different fields, especially historical-cultural and literary, and also economic-legal. Participation in courses, seminars and other educational and cultural experiences that extend or deepen the disciplinary specificities of the study path is also encouraged.The degree in Linguistic Mediation and Intercultural Communication allows access to various master's degrees, and in particular to the CdS LM38 and LM37.
