Seminar (1 CFU): Telling the End of the Word.
Climate change and biological extinctions are just some of the outsized parameters that result in an unprecedented discursive proliferation around the idea of "the end": a dysphoric flowering of Apocalypse mythologies. Thus, even in contemporary literature, space opens up for reflection on the different ends of the world but also on the possibility of coexistence on a living planet where animals and plants demand new recognition.
The seminar aims to explore, from an ecocritical perspective, how fiction, along with neighboring genres such as comics and film screenwriting, are able not only to speak about the world, but also to speak to the world and inform it with their own discourse.
